Nuun.
I just learned of Nuun probably about a year ago. Now what is Nuun, I know you're wondering. Nuun to me is a super power for my water which in turn makes me have super powers, so basically Nuun turns you into a Super Hero. NOTE: That's NOT actually how Nuun is marketing or directed, that's just my opinion.
But seriously, Nuun itself says:
I found myself trying the various flavors of Nuun last year and with that I found myself drinking even more water. Surprisingly several of the flavors filled missing voids I had of beverages I had given up. Nuun's Kona Cola for instance is the equivalent taste of flat Coca-Cola. But here's the thing, it's not like you're picturing or even pretend tasting in your mind. It's water, it's light like water, but flavored not like water. I know, poor description.
I experimented with Nuun a lot last year too. Mixing flavors, freezing water enhanced with Nuun, and my messiest favorite of dropping a tablet into plain sparking water. The question arises of when will I learn to put less water in than I think I need, because 10 times out of 10 I have to clean up a bubbly, overflowing mess. It's me, it's not Nuun.
I have Nuun everywhere. At home in a basket on the countertop. In my purse. In my desk at work. In my gym bag. And the kicker ... I've turned others onto Nuun. Will also uses it for training and racing, but also at work where he's in a hot kitchen all day so it helps keep him from being dehydrated. I also turned my parents onto it, my mom was an easier sell since she does drink a lot of water as well. My dad however was much more of a surprising sell since he doesn't drink a lot of water, but he does with Nuun ... he even branched out and tried various flavors as well!
So what does this have to do with anything? Well a lot. First of all, give Nuun a whirl. But that's really just the smaller picture.
In November Nuun set out to find Ambassadors for their product. People who use their product. People who believe in their product. And well you know, people who might be obsessed with their product. Yeah, I have tubes everywhere like I said.
In this crazy world we live in Nuun chose me. WHAT?? No seriously, I got the email and everything. I'm racing my 2016 races as part of Team Nuun!

I spent 2015 trying and using Nuun. I followed others who did on social media. So it was my extreme surprise to have been selected. It's taken me a while to actually get my blog post typed out for this. I think in part because I have the feelings of "little ole me" was selected. I'm just an awkward person trying to be active and racing through life. I carry so much stuff with me when I go to the gym I look like I'm either going backpacking or leaving for a long weekend. I spend some lunch hours swimming, biking or running. I wake up and leave in the morning while it's still dark out and some days I get home when it's dark out. So I feel like "little ole me" was selected and because maybe I'm a bit more than "little ole me" just like Nuun is just a bit more than a tablet you drop into water.
