I love The Golden Girls. I own the entire series and a documentary about the series. I aspire to be Estelle Getty's character, Sophia, when I'm older. In fact, I already practice with a wicker purse. In reality wicker purses are really not conducive to everyday life, and people look at you as if you are carrying a small picnic basket. It may look like one, but it's far less practical.

On the Road of Life
I have a thing for peacocks. I think they are stunning. I think they are smart. I think they are rare; then again in the Suburbs of Chicago there's not exactly a lot of birds aside from Sparrows. I digress.
Peacocks show their feathers in instances when they are showing off, getting attention, trying to get attention, and most of all comfortable. Their feathers each tell a story of their life whether it's a broken feather, a longer feather, a shorter feather, or a feather hidden by other feathers.

Lacing Up My Boots
When I began my journey in Team Weight Loss there was a class that met a couple times a week facing my Weight Loss class. The first word that came to mind about this class of people was: Intense. They didn't just run on the treadmills, they'd sprint at an incline. They didn't use the 15 pound and under dumbbells, they went and got dumbbells in upwards of 30 pounds to squat and flip over their head in one fluid motion. They were scary. I'm sure they were nice people, but they were scary.

It's Kind of Important to Breath
Despite my practice, I still struggle with swimming. I struggle so much so I get frustrated and I'm not sure why. I'm trying. I'm getting better. But, I'm still struggling and finding my point of struggle I am too, and very ironically, struggling with.
In my swim class last week we had a substitute instructor. My first thought "Great, no hiding my horribleness". I was pretty terrible. After a couple laps, our instructor said she noticed I needed to work on my breathing. It's true. I struggle so much with breathing, and it's pretty important. I swim along counting my strokes to breath, but then I feel like I don't need to breath so I keep going and am out of air. Amy, our substitute instructor, suggested I take three strokes and breath. Take three strokes and breathing. She was instructing me to bi-lateral breath.
